Using a pig that hangs at 300 pounds (each pig will be a different price depending on hang weight):
250 pound hang weight x $5.25 = $1312.50 - $400 deposit = $912.50
250 pounds / 2 = 125 pound hang weight x $5.25 = $656.25 - $200 deposit = $456.25

A large portion of our business is selling custom whole and half pigs. These pigs are raised on our farm, usually from birth. On occasion, we do bring in piglets as potential breeders and decide they are better suited as feeders. We know everything about the pigs we sell and can guarantee that the pig has been raised in a healthy, humane environment. You pick the cuts with custom butchering! Get exactly what you want.
A lot of thought has gone into how we price pork and how to price our whole and half pigs in a way that is simple for buyers to understand. Some farms sell by hanging weight, while others sell based on the weight of the final meat. In addition, some farmers choose to include butcher fees and/or smoking and others do not. This makes it very confusing for buyers. We have recently opted to change the way we calculate price to make it easier to understand for buyers.
2017 Pricing Includes:
Price of the pig and transporting of the pig to butcher for you.
How We Charge:
We charge $4.00 per pound based on hanging weight. The hanging weight is determined by the USDA butcher shop.

To purchase a whole or half pig, we require a deposit. The deposit will be deducted from your final bill.
The balance is due once the hanging weights have been given from the butcher shop.
Orders for whole and half pigs are filled in the order they are received. Spring and fall are particularly busy and orders can take a bit before they can be filled. Reserve early for the best turn-around time.
Once your deposit is received, we will send you our cut sheet to complete and return to us.
